Join us for a visit to Blenheim Palace, one of England’s largest stately homes, set in 2000 acres of landscaped parkland. It is also the birthplace of Winston Churchill, a World Heritage Site and an “on location” set to many films and TV productions.
There is choice of two tours:
World War I Tour aged approx 5-11yrs (Primary)
“This tour of the Palace gives schools an insight into how the family, servants, Estate workers and parts of the Palace itself all played their part in the war.”
(For those concerned about suitability for younger children – There is some mention of the front lines and trenches, however, the focus is on Blenheim’s role in the war)
Media Studies Tour for children aged 12-16yrs (Secondary) (this is at GCSE level and participants will need to be working at that kind of level but not necessarily doing Media Studies).
This is all about the films and TV programmes that have been filmed at Blenheim and how the palace copes with the “invasion of Hollywood”
Please ensure you choose the right option.
Adults may accompany their children – but must please remember to remain quiet during the tour/talk, as background noise/chat is disruptive for both the children and the guides.
Afterwards, your ticket may be converted to an annual pass at no extra charge, if you wish.

If you have an annual pass but don’t wish to join the tours, there is no need to book, but obviously, you can’t join the tours as they lay on guides based on the numbers pre-booked for the tours)
