Meet at 11.00am, Portcullis House, Education entrance of Houses of Parliament, Victoria Embankment.
Their timescales are very tight, so we cannot wait for latecomers.
The trip includes a tour of the Palace of Westminster and afterwards, a workshop on “Making Laws” pitched at KS3 (age 11yr+)
(We have done all three of the standard workshops, this one is probably the better one. Also, from previous experience, mature KS2 children will cope with this workshop)
These visits are very popular and have very limited availability.
They have a policy of NO babies/young children, as it is a working building, and they have been known to halt trips if there is a disruption.
Therefore, regretfully, no under 6s on this trip – sorry.
There is a very strict limit on numbers, and they limit the number of overall adults on the education trips.
Please let me know if your child(ren) is SEN, has a disability or has mobility issues.
(However, I would like to mention that I have no experience whatsoever and am completely unqualified in these areas, so I am reliant on parents making a sensible decision on their child/ren’s behalf.)
So, before putting your name down, please be absolutely sure it’s suitable for your child/ren, that you can make the date AND that your child/ren will be ok with going on the tour/workshop WITHOUT a parent).
It will be strictly “first come first served” (both for children & adult places)
and in the event of it being over-subscribed, I will keep a waiting list.
