Wootton Community Centre
Organised by Lou
Children must be at least 9 years old (ideally 10 years old, really) and have a bike in roadworthy condition with 2 brakes AND a cycle helmet.
These courses are being funded by Northamptonshire County Council.
You must commit to doing the full 2 day course (which will cover both Level 1 and Level 2). This is a condition of the funding. (Although, if the child/ren do not pass Level 1, they cannot progress to Level 2)
Level 1: During Level 1 Bikeability training, you learn to control and master your bike. The training takes place in an environment away from cars or traffic (in this instance, on the tennis courts next to Wootton Community Centre)
Level 2: During Level 2 Bikeability training you will get out on the roads! Level 2 gives you a real cycling experience so that you are able to deal with traffic on short journeys.
Day 1 will cover Level 1 and the first third of Level 2.
Day 2 will cover the remainder of Level 2.
Really important: You must book in for (and attend – assuming the child passes Level 1) both days. AND you must bring the signed consent forms for each child that is doing the course. These can be downloaded here (Word) or downloaded here (Pdf)
Your child/ren will need a packed lunch and drinks for the day (there will be a lunch break in the middle). This will carry on even if it rains, so bring waterproofs, but it will be cancelled if it snows.
This is the event page for Day 2 for Group A. Day 1 for Group A is on Monday 28 October 2013.
This event is fully booked.
