Using Educationista to organise a home-ed event

Educationista offers UK Home-educators a method of organising home-ed events that is totally free to use*

Home-Ed event organisers simply register for a free login and then create their event.

Once the event is live on the website, you can publicise the link to your local home-ed group and would-be attendees can sign up and register for your event.

You can manage your event via the website, confirm attendance and download a csv file of attendees.

We were successful in registering "Educationista Foundation" as a CIO with the Charity Commission.

We'd like to invite any home-educator who is interested in joining in activities or getting involved in the charity itself, to join the facebook group for it, which is here:
facebook.com/groups/EducationistaFoundation.

However, the charity is separate from this website.
(It just uses this website for bookings for ease and because it time-stamps the bookings, which may be necessary for over-subscribed events)

Payment for events must be made directly to the organiser.
Their PayPal/payment details will be detailed on the event.
If the organiser requests a bank payment (this will be clear on the event itself), then you may request them by email if they are not already known to you.

You are NOT be able to pay via the website PayPal as some of you may have done previously – this is because this attracts PayPal fees which cannot be passed on (following legislation that comes into effect from January 2018).

Your space(s) are not confirmed until payment has been received.

The individual organiser is responsible for their own event.
The organiser's name appears on their events so you can identify whose event it is.

If payment is taken through the website, this will unavoidably incur PayPal fees. Therefore please pay the organiser direct if at all possible.
