On Tuesday 17 March the Access and Learning team at the RAF Museum Cosford, is holding an event for Home Educated children. Based on the theory of flight, this event is suitable for children aged 7 years and over. The day will commence at 10.00am (registration from 9.30am) and participants will learn how aeroplanes take off, change speed and the forces which make aircraft fly.
During the day there will be four activities for the children to take part in which will introduce them to the theory of ‘flight’. These will include making and firing rockets across a hangar and being able to go in to one of our aircraft. To ensure everyone experiences all the activities, each child will be allocated a group with a leader who will take them round the site. Registration will be from 9.30am, with activities starting promptly at 10.00am and finishing at approximately 2.00pm.
This event is the same as the one held in September 2014 and is for those children who could not attend on this day.
If you would like to book a place/places for your child/children please, please book directly with the RAF Museum and complete your payment online (there is a booking fee of 50p per child). You will then receive an e-mail requesting further booking details. The cost of the day is £5 per child* with a maximum of two accompanying adults (car parking is included in the price, but please be aware this sum is non-refundable). Places are limited so will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and must be booked in advance. *YOU CAN BOOK TICKETS FROM 9.15AM ON 20 JANUARY*
* Payment is for children old enough to take part in the activities (7 years+).
** Please note this sum is non-refundable
