This is an Education Trade Show.
It is a aimed at teachers/schools, with hundreds of stands with products/services/resources covering all ages and subjects from learning to read to A level science lab kit. Being aimed at schools, some of these are out of the price-range of private households or are specifically aimed at schools (such as school-wide IT systems).
There are also lots of free seminars at various points during the day, on topics such as the national curriculum, changes in the GCSEs, testing, inclusion, specific curriculum subjects eg maths and so on. Some of the seminars can be counted as CPD for teachers. The seminars are “first-come-first-served” on the day itself and are not bookable in advance.
It’s not really for children specifically, however, children may attend. Some schools do take pupils along, as the stands often have demos of their products.
It is free of charge to attend. Adults must register in advance via their website. Children under 16 need a pass, which can be obtained on arrival. Over 16s need to register as adults, in the usual way.
